Ovie Turn Down Zamalek Offer

Nigerian-Born former Liverpool player, Ovie Ejaria has turned down the opportunity of relaunching his career with one of Africa most successful team Zamalek of Egypt.

According to news reaching Gongnews.net, the 26 years old player refused the offer due to culture change, Ovie who has lived all his life in England find it difficult to fit into the Arab world lifestyle hence the reason why he turned down the Zamalek deal, our sources said.

Our sources also revealed that Ovie played a friendly game for Zamalek on Thursday which they lost 2 – 1 to
newly promoted side Petrojet, but he was the stand out player in the first half that he played for the Egyptian giant.

The former Reading FC player who have joined his compatroit Samson Akinyoola, who currently plays for the team, while Zamalek has paraded legendary Nigeria players in the past, the likes of Akin Akinsehinde, former Africa player of the year Emmanuel Amunike, Stanley Ohawuchi and Sunny Kingsley, have all played for Zamalek.
