…. Describes Gov Umo Eno as Education friendly Governor
The Proprietor of the Redeem Nursery/ Primary and Secondary School, Evang. (Amb) Monday Jackson Akpan has made a passionate appeal to Governor Umo Eno to assist Private Schools in the state with special grant or loan to enable them stay afloat.
He said any financial support from the government will help reduce financial challenges school owners are facing in the cause of operating their schools.
The School boss stated this in a chat with newsmen at the school premises at no.10 Udong Street, Mbak Itam 3 in Itu Local Government Area recently.
He lamented the current economic realities in the country which according to him has posed serious threat to the operation of schools and other businesses in the state.

While appealing for the support of the state government onbehalf of private business operators in the state, Amb Akpan added, ” we are still hopeful that our Governor who came from the business environment will turn his eyes to private schools for any form of support as he has started in the public schools”.
He continues, “some owners of schools cannot pay salaries to their workers because, this thing is affecting everybody, not all parents are able to get money this challenging time in the country”.
” Like our school here, inspite of the current economic challenges in the country, we still maintain qualified teachers with B.Sc in various fields and we give our high standard of education”.
He continues, ” in Redeem Schools, we are graced with a team of competent and experienced staff to handle teaching activities with dexterity which excites learners to study with ease in life with the use of modern learning facilities in a conducive learning accessibility and exploration”.
The Redeem Schools as gathered by this reporter was founded in September,1998 and has produced many graduates of no mean repute in the society.
Amb Akpan described Governor Umo Eno as Education friendly Governor, noting his commitment in the education sector since assumption of office.
He commended the Governor for his impactful governance and believed that citizens will benefit more in the remaining years of his governance.
He assured that he will continue to support Pastor Umo Eno to succeed as Governor of the state and called on citizens to do same.
