Once bitten, twice shy! Rape is systemic way of having forceful sex with the opposite gender without an agreement, consent or permission of the other party. It is done or staged in a domineering contest, which is either single handedly staged, or with the concerted efforts of gang members. Whether former or latter, force and overpowering is always involved in other to succeed.

Of course, rape, quite distinctly different from adultery or fornication, in that, there must been a consensual concord between the actor and actress, it is as well different from prostitution because, the prostitutes, in most cases, advertise their product and customers do pay for the promiscuous sinful service rendered, yet no force or overpowering of the weaker gender is ever involved.
In fact, agreement between the two precedes the action, agreement which includes payment of the agreed fee. However, all of the above sins are condemned by Islam, Christianity and even surprisingly, traditional religions. God strongly condemns any kind of sexual relationships outside marriage. Each of the perpetrators certainly belongs to one of those aforementioned religions. Why the persistently the insistence?!
Causes of Rape
There are one thousand and one reasons rapists give for their voraciously disgusting act ; to me personally, none, and I say none of the reasons can ever sound genuine, no matter what ever colour is being used.
Drug and drugging styles
Drug is the act of using some substances, whether in liquid or solid form, as used by the rapist to high his blood in readiness for the Lucifer’s devilish senseless game; he was to play. The drug makes him or her to feel high, fearless and shameless. Such drugs, according to Haladu (23-25) in Abdullahi (9): stimulants, Hallucinogens (marijuana), Narcotics (heroine, codeine) etc. Unbelievably some of them use local charms that include concocted padlocks, beads, rosary and matching incantations.
The implication here is that, three different heinous sins have been committed, namely, use of deadly drugs. Allah says: And spend in the way of Allah and cast not yourselves to perdition with your own hands, and do well (to others); surely, Allah loves the doers of good (Q2:195).All of these dangerously can kill but gradually, and killing oneself is a sin in Islam. Secondly, the use of charm is a disbelieve act, and the number one almost unforgiveable sin, except if His will is done. Allah says: Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for which He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly fabricated a tremendous sin (Q4:48).
The third heinous sin is the act of rape itself. Any form of force in any scene is a sin. A father is deprived of forcing his daughter from marrying someone that is not appealing to her despite that the father’s consent must be sought, in the safety of the girl ;or if the father or guardian discovers the man’s bad character, then the father will exercise his power by restraining the girl from marrying him (Doi125-126). Allah states:
But let them who finds not (the means for) marriage abstain (from sexual relations) until Allah enriches them from His bounty. And those who seek a contract(for eventual emancipation) from among whom your right hands possess-then make a contract with them if you know there is within them goodness and give them from the wealth of Allah which He has given you. And do not compel your slave girls to prostitution, if they desire chastity, to seek (thereby) the temporary interests of worldly life. And if someone should compel them, then indeed, Allah is(to them),after their compulsion, forgiving and Merciful(Q24:33).
Drugging Style
This style is peculiar to the ladies who visit boys and men in their various homes, hotels, and clubs, and at other hidden places. The intending rapist ostentatiously serve already drugged food or drinks, sometimes get the juice injected, or fruits and get them served the their prey in the den; in a couple of minutes, the prey doses of and shortly begins to sleep over snore while the deed is done. Snappily, one of the irritating effect is unwanted pregnancy, use of womb damaging drugs, and perhaps abortion.
This is why it is very appropriate for every child to inform his or her parents or guardians of his or movement, even though visiting boys and men is culturally and religiously abhorred. To me, choosing good friends is part of the parents’ responsibilities to guide them to desert hastily, bad friends, and letting them remain in the company of good ones. Al-Imaam Burhanul Islam Az-zarnujii (15) poetically averred: From another fellow, do not ask(about his attitude),just take a look at his friend or associate ,every friend of his friend stands a mirror or mentor that he emulates .
If the friend is evil. Then, make a distance from him, were him to be a good friend, then, copy his attitude. This is how gang rape stages. Just of recent, a gang of rapists in Ibadan, Oyo State ,rape and eighteen year old girl, by name-Barakah Bello Akinyele Alao, a promising undergraduate young girl on the first of June, 2020 .
What a memorable catastrophic and psychological scene ?!A similar incidence was that of Urhin’s gang rape, a seventeen year old, who was ambushed and gang raped by three armed boys, who used broken bottles in Ado –Ekiti; a hawker of sachets water and soft drinks (Razaq Ibrahim & Chiyere Okoroafor https://www.google.com The Nation) A case sometimes last year, of a gang rapists raped two sisters of the same parents. Worse scenarios still are the fathers who lured their daughters into this ugly incident. Others who perpetrated the act include uncles, neighbours, strangers, teachers of Islamiyyaat, lesson teachers, pastors, artisans, security men, land-lords and land ladies, disguised friends of the family etc. What a signal to the end time, I guess?
Mode of Dress. In the past, ladies who covered from head to toe were escapees of this ugly incident, but of recent, the teacher without salary Shaitan is taking a new dimension .In the 90s, in one of the Nigerian universities student was gang raped by fellow students. So courageous the lady was that, he held the shirt of one of those boys, while the others fled, so she marked her face and voice. Having reported the case, the boys were arrested and invited at the panel’s meeting. Asking them for reasons for their nefarious action, .they presented three (reasons): first that the lady was beautiful and she followed big men in town and not students; and the second reason was because she wore short and body revealing dresses. I reserve the third reason till we meet again! Trust me, the university being known for its discipline, the institution where female students would forget to take their bath and remembered not to make up; the university where students remained in lecture rooms-reading till the day breaks(TDB)….
Lack of proper up Bringing
Training a child requires concerted efforts; therefore, all hands must be on the deck if we don’t want all deck to be on the hand as the case smears now. Parents, who kiss, romance and discuss sexual activities at the presence of their children, including dressing or changing their dresses should henceforth desist. Also, those who molest their female house maid need to have re-think and make swift change from bad to good and good to best instead of better. Remarkably, we should be cognizance of the fact that it is not only boys and men who rape girls and women, some researchers have shown that some girls and women had, in the past raped boys and men respectively. So, it actually depends on one’s experiences. Parents should ask their male children, how will you feel, may Allah (God) forbid if you ever heard that your sister was rape? Then, needing to preach to them is a prioritised sermon so as never to attempt such.
Other reasons are: poverty, like the case of Urchin, in Ekiti state that I cited, here above. Lack of human feelings, wickedness and the fear of Allah (God).Of course, the act of ritualism by the rapists is another reason that buttresses lack of fear of Allah. If not, it will be difficult to rape and after which their victims are brutally bruised, pierced and killed. Lust and uncontrollable sexual urge. This is why Islam recommends continual fasting for those who are sexually active and do not have the means to stage a marriage in order to annihilate one’s urge. But those who do not have the means should fast for, it is a means to suppress sexual desire (Bukhari and Muslim) Broken home is another reason .If parents are already separated, it may be difficult for one person to handle the children, hence everyone has a role to play.

The rate at which face-book, twitter handle, whatsapp, instagram, messenger are already corrupted with pictures of nudity and pornography. Many youths and even some adults have learned more of bad things than good. The method of shooting gun, tactics of robbery, ideologies of kidnapping, cool ways of snapping bags, phones and other valuable items; including the dreaded processes of how rape exercise can be successfully carried out. This does not exclude many foreign English films and the translated India films (into English Language: King of the Hearts and The vow). So much wonder I do why Nigerian government has not seen anything wrong in those films. An attempt though was made in 1984/85; until it became a dead issue.
Temporary or Permanent effects of rape actions
It ranges from phobia to soliloquizing, depression, and hypertension disappointment in marriage, genital mutilation, tension, disease transmission, body injury, loss of confidence in men and boys, fear of getting married, abortion, becoming drug addict, suddenly turning into introvert, madness and possibly suicidal act.

But if in the field the man finds the girl who is engaged and the man forces her and lies with her only the man who lies with her shall die. But you shall do nothing to the girl; there is nobody worthy of death just as man rises against his neighbor and murder’s him, so is the case. When he found her in field the engaged girl cried out but there was no one to save her (Deuteronomy 22:25-27)
