Shooting Federation To Get A Boost As Shettima Promises Change
Shettima Mohammed Shagir, a presidential aspirant in the Nigeria Shooting Federation election, has pledged to transform the country’s shooting sports by promoting grassroots participation and aligning his plans with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.
Appearing before the Electoral Committee of the National Sports Commission, Shettima emphasized his passion for restructuring and professionalizing shooting sports, creating opportunities for young people, and engaging local communities to discover hidden talents.
He lamented the absence of structured training and development programmes within the federation and proposed the introduction of a membership and certification system to ensure professionalism and accountability across the sport.
