Nigeria International Sunusi Ibrahim was on form for his Major League Soccer side when his goal and assist helped CF Montreal to a draw at DC United.
In the Match DAY 16 game, DC United went two goals ahead with goals from Donovan Pines (44) and Theodore Ku-Di Pietro (59) before the introduction of the Nigerian Star.
Sunusi Ibrahim replaced Lassi Lappalainen in the 61st minute and made his presence known when his header from Ariel Lassiter’s cross found the back of the net in the 80th minute.
Two minutes later Sunusi Ibrahim turned provider when his low cross was expertly guided home by Lassiter as CF Montreal came from two goals down to draw the game at the Audi Field in Washington DC.
With that feat, Sunusi Ibrahim became only the second player in the history of CF Montreal to come off the bench to score and assist in the same game.
Sunusi Ibrahim made the MLS MD16 alongside the likes of Daniel (San Jose), Alvaro Barreal (FC Cincinnati), Calegari and Gaston Brugman (LA Galaxy), Julio Cascante (Austin), Carles Gil (New England Revolution), Lucas Zelarayan and Cucho Hernandez (Columbus Crew), Daniel Salloi (Sporting Kansas City) and Julian Gressal (Whitecaps).
