Team Red have emerged champions of the 2022 edition of Abuja All Stars Kings Cup Football Competition after beating Team White 2-1 in the final.
Team Red finished first to win the giant trophy and a total sum of one hundred thousand naira while runners up Team White went home with silver medal and a total sum of seventy thousand naira.
Team Blue finished third in the 4-team
championship and got a cash prize of 45 thousand naira and Team Green finished distant fourth to go home empty handed.
The King of Bonny Kingdom sponsored football competition which was organized to wrap up the activities of the club for the year was played at the Fifa Goal Project of Package B of the Moshood Abiola Stadium Abuja.
Speaking in an interview after the one day event, captain of Team Red Mr. Unity Oseghe said hard work and determination gave his team the much needed victory.
“I can tell you that our victory is as a result of hard work, determination ,training and dedication. Some of us played competitive football and we have decided that we will win the 2022 edition of the tournament”.
Unity Oseghe who is also the Vice Captain of All Star International Abuja further stated that the objectives of the Kings Cup was achieved.
“The objective of the competition has been achieved. The objective is togetherness. It brings us together, our families are here to celebrate together.
The 4-team King Edward Peoples Cup Championship was sponsored by the King of Bonny Kingdom.
