Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress Asiwaju Bola Tinubu (APC) led chieftains of the party to the residence of former President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday in Abuja.
In his entourage among those who visited the former president were Senator Kashim Shettima, APC Vice-Presidential candidate, and five Governors.
The governors are Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (Kwara), Bello Matawale (Zamfara), Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Simon Lalong (Plateau) and Dapo Abiodun (Ogun).
The purpose of the meeting has not be revealed what transpired at the meeting but there are indications that it is about the 2023 elections.
The APC made history by unseating Jonathan in 2015, the first time that an opposition party would defeat an incumbent president.
It will be recalled that In the buildup to the 2015 election, the APC stopped at nothing to demarket president Goodluck Jonathan and his governnment to win the 2015 election.
