The Nigeria basketball federation has revealed that, it has learnt a lot of lessons from the just concluded in faraway Tokyo.
When asked if the federation had learnt any lesson from the Olympics? During a personality interview on the FCT Football update platform Caretaker Chairman Engineer Musa Kida answered: “there are very hard lessons learnt from the Olympics. Our team would have done much better than the performance we put up there.
“My little disappointment was that we were unable to come out of the group.
“Nigeria did suffer a setback in terms of having the required officials during the game, going to the Olympics we are advised by NOC that we are entitled to only 3 officials, the General Manager and two Coaches basically.
“Whereas the full complement of FIBA which we are used to are not there that have 12 players and nine officials
“We did not have that; we didn’t know that it was going to be hard core, but I am very proud of the players. The games were very well contested, palm for palm but I think we were unable to compliment them from the bench.” He explained.
