Nigerian goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has expressed his excitement at being back with the Super Eagles, citing the opportunity to represent his country as the highest honor of his career. Uzoho, 26, spoke to the Super Eagles media, sharing his feelings about returning to the team.
Uzoho admitted to deeply missing life in camp during his absence, particularly the camaraderie with his teammates. “I think I missed quite a lot,” he said. “I miss the boys, to be honest. I miss the vibe in camp because we’ve been together a lot.” He added that facing challenges together as a team was a significant aspect of his experience.
Despite being away from the team, Uzoho maintained regular contact with his teammates to keep relationships strong. “I speak to them once in a while. We chat and check up on each other. I have colleagues I’m closer to, but in general, I do reach out to the boys.”
Uzoho expressed his joy at returning to the Super Eagles, saying, “I was filled with joy one I can’t really express, especially knowing I was coming back to represent Nigeria, which is the most important thing in my career.” His comments highlight his commitment to the team and his country.
