Musa Nimrod, the President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) on Saturday in Abuja Inaugurates ten players commission into the board of the federation.
The reports that the inauguration was held during the ongoing 2023 Nigeria Volleyball Premier League in Abuja at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
Nimrod has called all the newly Inaugurated players commission members to board that today the oath of declaration they would make is not just a declaration.
“ This is to fulfill their responsibilities based on their representation from areas of the Women in sports, Para Military , Army Forces and six geopolitical zones where they are coming for.
He mandated members of the committee to reflect deeply and enact policies and strategies that would spur the development of volleyball from the grassroots.
“ Their responsibility is to look after the player’s , when there are conflicts of issues within the areas and find proffered solution but if beyond their control they can report to the player’s representative before the matter will follows up due orders for proper solution,”he said.
The President charges committee on
organizing seminars such as drugs seminars at various levels, seminars that would help to develop player’s.
He said that the federation planned to introduce drug testing widal test in their next leagues, in order to test our player’s on the levels of either they are clean or not .
On his part, Emmanuel Jatto the player’s representative of the Volleyball federation who will be representing as the chairman of the player’s commissions said that the reason for setting the players commissions is to give advise the federation, having one voiced, dreams , vision and missions .
“ it should not look as if I was the only person making designs and decisions on what’s player’s needs and what’s to do for the player’s.
“He thank the present federation and members who have pushed to achieved it today,” he said.
He said the committee was set to be able to meet up with the boards of NVBF demands on how to represent the player’s very well, properly pass of information to the players without a delay
“With our presence in the board there will be no more communication barriers .
No more player’s jumping from one state to another state, all have to follow up due protocols,” he said.
Martins Ejeh a member of the newly commissions pledged that the members would work hard towards taking volleyball game in Nigeria to higher heights.We are aware that the President and the leadership of the secretariat are passionate about volleyball.
