The organiser of the recently held photo exhibition at the Alliance Francaise in Ibadan “The face of Football The Story Of Every Football Fan” By veteran Football Photo Journalist By Bamigbelu Ademola Origa.
Speaking with Gongnews.net the brain behind the journey revealed that his journey into football photography started back as a child.
“When I started watching professional football in 1981, my first match was IICC vs Spartans of Owerri.
I noticed a lot about fans with cultural and religious representatives, dance and ritual coming to watch football games then”
Speaking further, that created the vacuum I wanted to fill because I believe fans to has a place in football and the moment I become a Photo Journalist the only thing that occupied my mind was how I will bring them together and I have being doing it and the last one was at the Alliance Francaise which was the 10th edition of showcasing football and fans relationship. He continue
“So, the moment I became a photojournalist, that memory came back and I realised I have a link with the French ideology of art with photography. I decided I wanted to tell the stories of Nigerian football fans and supporters clubs. And I really appreciate all those who stood by me”.
Speaking on one outstanding encounter he had with the popular Shooting Stars staunch Supporters Baba Eleran and that was my first exhibition in 2013 and it was tagged ” A photography Artists Experience Of Metaphysical In Football to Kickstart his journey into Photo Exhibition.
While he concluded, my works has been exhibited in Chicago at the Black Art Day in Chicago USA, and also Bamako Mali, while Abuja and Enugu has also been part of the beneficiary of my Photo exhibition Origa concluded.
For the 2025 edition he paraded
Ex-Super Eagles player, Mutiu Adepoju, General Manager of Splash FM 105.5 Mr. Tunde Olawuwo, Adepoju Tobi Samuel Sporting Director of Shooting Stars,
Idris Animasaun creative director 3scfanstv and other members of the football communities grace the day.
The experience photographer who has also in the past organised various photo exhibition for folklore singer Beautiful Nubia in the past at the same Alliance Francaise in Ibadan.
