A badminton veteran, Nasir Idris, has called for a truce as the Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN) is being rocked by crisis.
Idris, the Kauran Gwandu of Kebbi and the National President of Nigeria Unions of Teachers (NUT) bared his mind on how restore peace to the BFN at the annual Badminton Veteran game held at National stadium package B Abuja on Saturday.
“We have responsibility because we know that there are problems. The problem right now I learnt is in court but we are trying to bring the parties together and have a round table talk to see how we can resolve that matter amicably.
“We will try to address the problem, we are on it and we have just started and negotiating to see how best it can be resolved. We are not happy that the badminton federation is having problem. We will ask those that went to court to withdraw their cases. We will all seat together so that the badminton federation will be one.”
