Plateau United Head Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu has assured Nigerians that his team will be brave enough against their CAF Confederation Cup playoff 2nd leg match in Libyan speaking to journalists before his team departure to North African side the coach said, “we know their plans but we must be brave despite our 1st leg win in Abuja, winning by a 4-1 scoreline we know that the team three-goal advantage is not too good for us but we will have to give our best and that is not to conced in their 10,000-capacity Omar Al-Mukhtar Stadium, Bayda-Benghazi”. He said.
Speaking “We are fully prepared for this all-important match, knowing full well that coming out with a decent result will catapult the team to the group stage of the competition.
“Naturally a 4-1 victory is a good scoreline by any standard, but in a competition of this magnitude, where the away goal rule counts, we need maximum concentration to enable us to come out unscathed, said the former MFM Coach.
The match will kick off by 5 pm Libyan time which is 3 pm Nigerian time on Wednesday, and the winner of the tie over two legs, will scale through to the group stage of the competition which kicks off next year.
The Nigerian team has over forty man delegation in Libya.
