MOURKTA PROMISES FOOTBALLER INCENTIVES AS BEACH SOCCER KICKS OF IN ABUJA

Chairman of Federal Capital Territory FCT Football Association, Mohammed Mouktar has promised Beach Soccer players representing Abuja incentives as the Beach Soccer championship kicks off at Jabi Lake today.

Mouktar said the team is new in the championship, he is doling out something to spur them into great performance during the championship.

“The game is a bit fresh to Abuja footballer unlike their counterparts from Kebbi who have participated in international tournament in Turkey. I expect them to come out and perform as host of the event,” he said.

Meanwhile the championship will get underway today with Kwara taking on Kebbi first while Abuja host Team Badagry later on in the day.

The tournament which will be played in a round robbin amongst the four participating will end on Sunday.

Commenting on the championship, the Coordinator, Mr. Mahmoud Hadjejia said the tournament will witness top quality Beach Soccer.

He said by so doing this annually Nigeria will soon have Beach Soccer league like it obtains in some African countries like Senegal and Tanzania.
