Road to the baseball pitch

Mr President, where are you?

By Taofeek Lawal Olayemi

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigerians are angry and hungry and are not happy with you and your style of governance.

This is not what you promised. You promised so much but you are not even delivering ‘little’. You said we should not pity you and really no one is here to pity you. Do the job you are elected to do, please.

While you asked us to tighten our belts, you are junketing round the globe without any corresponding value to the economy and sadly, you are still in France on a ‘private visit’. You didn’t even deem it fit to cut short your ‘private visit’ when terrorism, abduction for ransom, senseless killings and all forms of crimes have taken over the nation.

The cost of living keep skyrocketing and life is unbearable. Parents are losing jobs and children are dropping out of school. The homes have become war zones, lovers have become sworn enemies.

Mr President, do the needful, Nigerians are running out of patience. This is no more Renewed Hope but Renewed ‘Shege’ for Nigerians. Where are the CNG mass transit buses? You have been in the saddle for nine months now and nothing is working.

What are you doing about the continuous free fall of the Naira? Se na like this we go dey dey? Your ‘e lo f’okan bale’ (relax, all will be well) is now a cliche.

Mr President, act fast, there is no time.
