Edo yesterday won the two gold medals at stake in the 200m sprint of the Cycling event in Benin City.
In the female category Tombrapa Grikpa of Edo state beat Delta state’s Ese Ukpereseraye who picked the Silver medal ahead of Oyo cyclist, Joke Durogbade who settled for the bronze.
In the male category, African champion, Goodness Temple took the gold for Edo state while Imo state’s rider, Isa Momoh took the silver, surprisingly displacing the Sports Festival’s defending champion Kalizibe Caleb of Bayelsa who got the bronze.
The cycling event continues tomorrow with the Team Time Trials for men and women for five kilometres each
